
I purchased this sled 2 years ago for my son for Christmas. We have used it a handful of times. We took it out this past weekend to enjoy the early snowfall. To his dismay, on a sharp turn, the sled overturned and two of the screws which hold the side rail to the sled snapped off, ending our riding for the day.
I contacted Mountain Boy, hoping they would be of some help. They informed me that it is past the warranty period. I appealed. Given that it has received limited normal use and was not abused, it is my feeling that it is due to a manufacturing flaw. I was sure given the outstanding information regarding quality and handcrafting on their website, they would be sure to stand behind their product. The best that they could do was to tell me that I could pay shipping and the cost of repairs. It is hardly what I would consider customer service.
While the product may look great, if you want an heirloom, you might look elsewhere.
