No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This set includes a good realistically weighted ball and bat case, but the bat is quite small and can only be used with a soft ball. The stumps (w/o being dug in) are 4 inches short in length and about 7 cm short in width. I would recommend it only to those just starting out in cricket.
